Nature's Wellness
Connect and Relax
I call myself a Transformational Trail Guide because I believe growth and transformation are a journey - a trail I walk every day, learning and growing along the way. And because while only you can change your life, I can guide you by sharing the things that have helped me.
Forging heart-centered, intimate relationships with animals and plants has helped me relax, get out of my head, get to know myself better, identify my passions, and learn how I can help others by sharing my joy and love. Those are just a few of the most valuable gifts I've received from my time in the Forest!
Now I'm using what I have learned to teach others how to develop their own relationship with the natural world as a pathway to healing and transformation.
Spending time in nature has many scientifically proven benefits, and research is on-going. There are even doctors who are beginning to “prescribe” time in Nature to their patients to prevent and treat a multitude of symptoms and diseases. Here are a few of those proven benefits.
-
Decreased levels of the stress hormone cortisol: Since it is known that stress is a root cause of many physical ailments, including high blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes, skin conditions, asthma, and arthritis, spending time in nature can reduce the chances of experiencing these issues.
-
Boost immune functioning. Your body’s ability to fight off disease can be compromised by high stress levels so reducing your stress level will increase your chance of staying healthy.
-
Improve your ability to solve problems.
-
Improved emotional state, reduced symptoms of depression, reduced anxiety.
I look forward to you joining me on the trail to your growth and transformation!
